The compact is made from quality Bird's Eye Maple. The mirrors inside measure 2 inches by 2 inches. The wood hinge is integrated within the compact and handcrafted to the finest precision. A small relief is also routed into the front of the compact for ease of opening. There are 4 neodymium magnets that hold the compact closed, and a thin clear coat has been added to the wood for the compact to last years to come.
The compact measures just under 1/2 inches thick, with a profile of about 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches. There is considerable variation in wood grains between compacts. The images below are just an illustration of a typical compact appearance.
